This is the completed version of Chick Music that I <strike>cheaped out</strike> made as a Christmas gift for Jill. The original version was pretty rough, and it didn't end up changing all that much, but I think I've smoothed out a lot of the rough edges. It came out not half-bad, either. It's not perfect, but it's not too bad, either.

That probably means it totally sucks, huh?

Lots of things wrong with it technically. Some kicks and snares seem to interfere destructively with each other (yes, that is the technical term), but hopefully not overly noticeable unless you know what to listen for (which you do now because I told you) and are using headpones. It's okay though. Admittedly, Break My Soul at the end doesn't really fit on a number of levels. I wanted to use it anyway just because it hasn't been officially released yet and will be soon.

Biggest achievement: only two songs are Hybrid. (I guess that's only an achievement for me, though.) If you don't happen to know Japanese, Teddy Bear is basically about a girl that has a boyfriend that tells her that he has a gift for her. He runs out on her in the middle of the night while she's sleeping and leaves her a teddy bear. Cold bastard. The song's poetry gets horribly lost in translation though, so I only listed the Japanese kanji here. Hopefully you have all the fonts and stuff installed so the browser can render it properly. If not... well, you probably couldn't read it anyway. Or, if you can... well, I don't know anybody who can (except maybe Jann) so who are you and how did you get here? Who am I kidding anyway? Nobody reads this. Blah, blah, blah. Mary had a little lamb. See? Nothin'.

[Edit - Sept. 2015] That probably didn't make much sense. I used to include song lyrics here when I could. I don't do that anymore. It's too unreliable and inaccurate.

Some other notables. This is my first mix that makes wide use of a sliding tempo; all of the other ones, with one minor exception, normalized their tempos. I finally got an Andy Hunter track in! It's not one I thought I'd be mixing with but, hey, it seems to work. And a Darude, too.

And, no! If anybody actually reads my little rants here, using Sunrise doesn't break my one-use rule! I used the Stereo 8 remix in Thirteen Pieces and the original album mix here, so they're not the same!
